These are photos from a half-day visit to Certaldo Alto, and specifically to Boccaccesca--an annual food and wine festival that takes place the first two weekends of October. Vendors of local meats, cheeses, wines and other items set up stands along the main street and around town and provide generous samples and, of course, many items for sale. Even absent the festival, Certaldo is charming and worth a visit.
