We had about a day and a half in Kanazawa, with near-perfect weather.
We spent some time walking in the historic Chaya districts and the Utatsuyama temple area, which is home to more than 50 temples interspersed with residential streets (we only saw a few).
We spent our morning at the Kenrokuen Garden, one of Japan's most notable gardens, followed by visits to the adjacent Kanazawa Castle and Oyama Jinga Shrine, and Omicho Market.
