Day trip to Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj from Ljubljana. We asked about weather at our hotel and were told "rain...all week." We decided to take our chances. It was overcast and hazy--not great for photos, but it was dry. We walked the entire 4-mile path around Lake Bled and climbed up to the castle. Later, we drove the 15km or so to Lake Bohinj, which is similarly picturesque, but without the larger crowds. Our plan had been to take the cable car up Mt. Vogel, but one glance at the webcam suggested that would be largely wasted money. The clouds were too thick. Still, a nice, enjoyable day in an area we'd like to visit again sometime.
